Hello,

I am the person who made the original question.
Just to be clear, I'm running an authorised version of z/OS (3.1) in an
authorised hardware
ruled by license with IBM. From the operating system perspective, our z/OS runs
on a 1090
machine.

So, I believed it was the appropriate forum, because I was not asking specifics
like how to
define a new disk or ADCD parameters.
Anyway, it is good to know there is also a zPDT or ADCD discussion list.

Best Regards

All really rather moot anyway:

- as of 1/1/2026 zPDT is no longer available and once you reach the end of 2026
then no one will (should) be running it anyway
- the ADCD is (theoretically) being discontinued as it is no longer required.
As far as I am aware, there will be a z/OS 3.2 later this year and then that is
it.
- the ADCD for zPDT and ZD&T are different
- the ADCD for ZD&T was discontinued earlier this year and is now known, as far
as I can tell as z/OS Dev and Test stock image for on demand environments but
is also used in products such as Test Accelerator for z
- it looks like that ZD&T Personal Edition is also gong the same way as zPDT
early next year but licensing there is different so people can probably
continue to use, just not get any new versions.
