Hi Suresh,
X in Column 72 applies to Assembler, JCL (optionally) and "old" utility programs (e.g. IEHPROGM). For more modern utilities (e.g. supplied by DFSMS like DFSMSDss), the TSO convention is used (either '+' or *'-'*).

David

Hello

I am trying to run a python code using JCL by passing an arguments but it
is failing.

Is there any alternative or any corrections have to be made?

//STEP1 EXEC PGM=BPXBATCH

//STDERR DD SYSOUT=*

//STDOUT DD SYSOUT=*

//STDPARM DD *

SH python3 /usr/local/pythonScripts/restartTask.py dbtask
