Yahoo has been a joke for years and is porous as heck: how many times have you
gotten spam allegedly from someone you know with a Yahoo account? Dozens, I
bet. Nobody who has the slightest concern about security uses it. Since Verizon
bought it, it's gotten even worse, as they've lost all interest in it. I don't
know why it still exists. Well, ok, I do--people continue to use it, just as
they continue to PAY for AOL all these years later. Vz should just put it out
of its misery.

Subject: Re: OFF TOPIC - YAHOO MAIL SORT PROBLEM

John,

I concluded that this is a YAHOO marketing campaign.

The person in question knew how to subscribe to the IBM technical email list
but he does not know, that YAHOO also has a Knowledge base, just like
Microsoft. Any credible computer vendor has their own knowledge base.. full
stop.

The give away was , when he said, the YAHOO dashboard must be different in
Canada. Anybody older than 12 knows , that is impossible and we are being
scammed. Lets not discuss "How to use the YAHOO browser interface"
on IBM-MAIN,,, please ?

Bottom line ? The Yahoo web interface is one of the weakest email interfaces
that is still around

Anton
