Hi Willie,

Assuming it only has normal stuff on it, and its on a real disk, not SSD I 
would use the free version of Kill Disk https://www.killdisk.com/eraser.html to 
do a single pass wipe.
You can do a bootable CD or USB stick so it wipes everything.
It is said that the NSF can recover the data from a disk after a single wipe, 
but I am sure no individual can, well not at a cost that would make it worth 
while.
