Yes.
Consistent copy of non-active (in sense of I/O) volumes can be performed
in any way, including regular dss copy (with no flashcopy), step by step.
However my goal is to perform consistent copy of live system.
I did it in my previous shop, however I wasn't the author of the job and
it was Timefinder/Clone tool (EMC dasd).
