The following scenario:
VTS system connected to multiple z/OS images, each system has it's own
volcat, RMM CDS, etc.
Issue: the RMM has to be active on every LPAR, otherwise there are
problems with volume insert process.
So, even sandbox system with no tape activity must have RMM active.
Q: Is there any method to not have active RMM on every system connected
to the VTS?
I guess it would be sufficient to disconnect the LPAR from the RMM (CF
CHP or VARY PATH OFFLINE), however I vaguely remain I did it in the old
times of 3494 and physical carts. Unfortunately I have no notes about it.
