Backlit keys, now that's interesting. I too am a touch-typer, but when reaching for the fringes where my fingers are less certain of the exact location of <F11> or '|' it can be important, some days, to be able to see the keyboard; and in a darkened room the light of the monitor isn't quite enough. I keep the lighting in my bedroom/office to just one bulb, but I'd reduce it a little further if I could. Backlit keys ... I wonder how much I'd pay for that?
