Thanks for posting that Parwez. Interesting reading.

I was a bit surprised to see that the Transactional Execution facility will be 
removed in a future machine. I always thought that was such a clever capability.

"Removal of support of the transactional execution and constrained 
transactional execution facility: In a future IBM Z hardware system family, the 
transactional execution and constrained transactional execution facility will 
no longer be supported. Users of the facility on current servers should always 
check the facility indications before use."

Is this capability to be included in some other feature? 
Has this feature not been successful? Or is it just too difficult to maintain 
the code for it?
