I found it helped to give examples outside of IT.
Consider the security of your site.

   1. The security administrator issues badges to visitors.
   2. The security systems designer/programmer sets up the systems, decides
   how many attack dogs you want patrolling the site, decides if you want to
   use a paper and pen, or an online system.
