I know z/OSMF has lots of good stuff, and is IBM's direction. And, yes having a 
zIIP gets you more than just something to run Java.
But, look at this statement from  Windows or Linux centered view. You're 
telling me that I need to spend $50K (maybe an old number) extra, just so you 
can do installs and admin? Isn't this the same machine where we also pay extra 
just to sync the time???


Yes, I did talk my MFaaS provider into just activating zIIP access because it 
was there already.  (I had recently released access to the HW Crypto since 
CPACF was sufficient for our needs) But, if I had been able to convince my 
management to replace our 10 year old z9, I was dreading the moment when I had 
to say, BTW we need to add a zIIP at $xxK to the order.
