I know z/OSMF has lots of good stuff, and is IBM's direction. And, yes having a zIIP gets you more than just something to run Java. But, look at this statement from Windows or Linux centered view. You're telling me that I need to spend $50K (maybe an old number) extra, just so you can do installs and admin? Isn't this the same machine where we also pay extra just to sync the time???
Yes, I did talk my MFaaS provider into just activating zIIP access because it was there already.
