I took that same two-week class in Chicago in 1980. The diagram in question (as I remember it) was a joke, right? It was impossibly complicated with curved lines and arrows and flowchart symbols all over it. It was made to generate a chuckle, not teach actual logic flow.

I too had a copy once, but it's long gone.
