Gadi, I would advise you do the following so HSM knows what's where:
HSEND ADDVOL newvolser UNIT(3390) MIGRATION(ML1 NODRAIN) HSEND ADDVOL oldvolser UNIT(3390) MIGRATION(DRAIN) HSEND FREEVOL MVOL(oldvolser) AGE(0) TARGETLEVEL(ML1) Once complete you can DELVOL the oldvolser.
