That message means that it is a 16-bit application, and Win7 no longer supports any 16-bit applications. If DASDCALC is 16-bit, you are SOL on a Win7 box unless you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, which is the Win7 level at which virtual machines are supported.
The suggestions to run it in an XP virtual machine under Win7 are OK, but you better have the memory and CPU resources to support that virtual machine. At home I have a 12GB RAM, 3.2Ghz i7 CPU system and I can run several virtual XP's without a problem. YMMV. So I am looking for a replacement tool for the indispensable DASDCALC tool distributed my Central coast software. I use this tool regularly and it makes my life very easy.
