Thanks for the responses. My mistake using phrase "Accessing HMC". Issue was brought to my attention in passing. Just starting to look into this a little deeper.
Accessing the HMC is not the issue, problem occurs when attempting to drill down into Single Object Operations under IE8 and IE9 in either Tree or Classic mode. Once you get to the CPC in Single Object, able to navigate on the SE then the following error appears and session is lost: Error box appears in dicating Console applet load failure. An applet required to connect to the console failed to load. Ensure all console windows are closed before you reconnect to the session. If problem reoccurs, contact support personnel to determine if browser is configured properly.
