How do you download all those bookshelves and indexes in one swift swoop like I do with 'Soft Copy Librarian'? And then search here on your local PC or shared network folder? There are cases that Internet is unavailable [1] and you need to search something urgently to do something. I like to have resources available everywhere - Bookmanager on my z/Os, local PC/network server which present PDF collections [2] via shared folders and via web page and then of course Internet. Then I have backup [3] copies of those collections too. I only need: availability, easy reading and easy searching. This is just my [private] view which may or may not be compatible with your views, but I'm open for other suggestions too. My 2 cents anyway. :-) Groete / Greetings Elardus Engelbrecht [1] - I'm serious. Outage and/or sloooooooooooow speed of Internet is a real challenge. Anything from cables cut up by fishing trawlers, Cell phone towers without power, sat dishes blown over by storm winds, phone cables stolen, etc. [2] - uploaded from DVDs as received by secret vendor of z/OS. (yeah, big blue, if you still don't know it! :-D ) [3] - Respecting copyright issues of course. It is surprisingly easy to lose those CDs. In ancient times when we got hardcopies, some colleague took a book home and then a cleaner do something horrible with it... :-/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
