That depends on your site. Is there a storclas name that tells your ACS routines this dataset is not to be SMS managed (something like NONSMS)? Is there a high level qualifier (perhaps T.) that tells your ACS routines the dataset should be allocated to tape? Are your tapes SMS managed? What happens if you change the JCL to specify DISP=OLD?
