Of course I would.
Its the operator commands that are entered through the jobstream is what I do 
not allow. Although I did find abuse of that at one place. The operators would 
issue start commands that would execute other commands (don't ask I think they 
were lazy). I stopped that immediately.
The company was to cheap to buy an automation program although the scheduling 
go 
so complicated (it was really bad) they were sold on a job scheduling package. 
I 
disliked it but it more or less worked for them I shut up and let them fall 
into 
the trap that I saw coming. Needless to say the next upgrade didn't work as the 
package was OS release dependent. I spoke up and said "I told you so". The 
person in our group that supported the package got his wings clipped because he 
didn't call the vendor and ask (it was his responsibility).

Huh?  You wouldn't allow automation to issue commands?  You wouldn't
allow operators or other authorized people to issue commands via
SDSF or some other means?
