I was getting hounded by a bunch of users report SB37s abends. I kept telling everyone I can't fix your JCL to allocate enough space to hold your data. Increase your allocation amount. They kept seeing the message listing the volume counts for excluded volumes and offline volumes. The storage group had 49% free but their allocation amounts compared to data amounts were so small they went through all the online volumes for all 16 extents and still didn't have enough space.
