Most places I have worked have this thing called a Physical Label pasted on the device with its IPN and FQDN on it so you can physically identify what Device it is. Too Bad your Wiz Kids never documented the device inventory that way. Label Makers run under $25(?) at your local Staples/Office-Outlet/Office-Warehouse or other Office Supply Store. Sticky Labels are even cheaper and can even been made by just using the labels off of Tractor Form Label stacks.
