As someone who is retired unless something really interesting comes up and as the submitter of requirements in this area, I have come to the conclusion that COBOL is not strategic and is being maintained only until people put in new function written in C/C++/C#/Java/new language du jour. I Can't justify he cost of attendance without a contract and now it is mainly a hobby and ongoing interest.
