Today I upgraded to xorg-edgers and purged the ATI driver and I got 16
fps while fullscreen with latest open-source drivers.
But still Intel opensource built-in with Ubuntu 11.04 is much better:
22-23 fps.
With such results it is not even worth to bother to install the ATI driver.
Also not worth to bother to switch with switcheroo - Gallium is too slow.
In fact Gallium is blacklisted by Firefox and you have to run it like this:
MOZ_GLX_IGNORE_BLACKLIST=1 firefox-trunk -P -no-remote
