Dear friends,

please endorse the statement.

Avinash Kulkarni has been working in Dangs over 15 years with Dangi
Mazdoor Union and Adivasi Maha Sabha fighting for poor tribals rights
- mainly land and livelihood rights within the framework of the Indian
constitution.

Is it a crime in Gujarat to fight for people's rights ?

He was picked up 21/03/2010 at:  2.00pm from Dangs today March 21,
2010. DySP Patil picked him up today on the pretext of questioning to
DIG Surat.
updet
bharat pawar was also picked up later in the evening.

We demand his immediate release.
