I endorse the statement.

Increasingly everyone must know that only those who desire to seize or guard
stolen land of the Adivasis or the first people of India are permitted in
tribal areas . The unrest in Central and Eastern India is all about Adivasis
and the local peasantry forcibly being made to surrender homesteads and
villages in mineral rich regions .

You can imagine what would happen if in the cities everyone was forcibly made
to give up their homes in which they were residing for corporate interests .
The unrest in Raigad District could not be contained and since the region was
next to Mumbai with very vocal people affected including middle income and
upper middle income groups who held land there ; the proposal for the
compulsory acquisition of land by corporate and financial interst was put on
the back burner .

What if the people in Raigad had only been Advasis and poor farmers ???????Now
everyone is aware as to who confiscated and takes over property of the largely
economically mariginilised people .

Is this constitutionally permissible then why is this being done ?????

                        Niloufer Bhagwat

PS objections have been raised in Mumbai to an MLA visiting the home of
allegedterrorist to ascertain the truth behind the arrests of two young people
allegedlyIslamist terrorists in which Mumbai and Maharashtra and the Western
regions
specialize therefore thousands have been killed in pogroms and riots and
nowthousands have been picked up from their homes in many regions . I
thoughtthat we were a democracy with safeguards against killings and arbitrary
arrests????
