That would explain it. As far as I know, Exif doesn't support specifying lens projection, so if Hugin doens't know the lens, it assumes rectilinear. I was thinking that 3 would make it easier to find control points. First I need to get it to work at all. What I have found is that the strange fleur-de-lis artefacts don't occur if I tell Hugin that the lens is 8 mm.
