We are working on this in the context of the Design Center - the stdlib is already in the DC as a sketch (CFEngine::stdlib). Once we get namespace support built in (namespaces are coming in CFEngine 3.4.0), we'll be able to properly handle multiple coexisting versions of the library, each in its own namespace.
