Forum: CFEngine Help Subject: Context-sensitive "mailto"? Author: davidlee Link to topic: https://cfengine.com/forum/read.php?3,23443,23443#msg-23443
(cfengine 3.1.4) Back in the old days of version 2 of cfengine, there was a variable "sysadm" that could be used to email cfengine's results to various people. A very useful feature was that it could be defined to mail different things to different people such as: ========== class1:: sysadm = ( admin.for.cla...@my.site ) class2:: sysadm = ( admin.for.cla...@my.site ) ========== That was very neat. It meant that the people responsible for a particular "class" of things (machines, services, etc.) got relevant email and weren't burdened with emails about other classes not relevant to them. That doesn't seem possible in cfengine3. Have I missed something in the reference manual (or other manual)? If it really isn't possible, it seems a backwards step... _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org https://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
