I keep seeing this. The "g" is arbitrary, correct? I didn't see that (arbitrary-ness or not) mentioned in the various docs where it is used. Whoever came up with 'g', what is that supposed to represent? Shorthand for "global" concept? I've submitted a ton of bug reports in the last 2 weeks (almost all very minor). Would you prefer that I just start fixing things and submitting diffs?
