Since you are new to CF I would suggest you abandon your cf2 work altogether. You will have to relearn for CF3 so start there and you'll save time. Start with the tutorials with the goal of having cf-serverd running on one host and being able to run cf-agent on the same host and authenticate with the cf-serverd. Once that works you can get cf-execd running.
