Ok - a colleague has pointed out that we are talking at cross purposes. We are both right and it still doesn't help. Without -z zonename -o only prints a single user. When you add -z zonename all users magically appear. However ,this does not help at all because you now need to know the explicit name of the zone you are in. That is worse than detecting the global zone which has an easy predictable name. Let's lay the ps options discussion to rest now? That is not the issue. The issue is whether or not the filtering works.
