not altogether OT, but if you are looking at making a CFengine AI mobile within
a cluster(cloud?) there are changes to the how systems start (pid 1) that will
bring new tools to the party - systemd is emerging as a replacement for
sysvinit with features like being able to start a process on a particular
processor (nice if your system has a couple hundred processors) which I expect
will be extended to include GPUs, which do. These tools were developed for
virtual systems and now that they are in the kernel, are being incorporated
into systemd (cgroups). I expect migration will be one of them, so an agent
could identify itself as a potential host for the AI and catch it itf it comes
it's way. But once you get to agent-agent chat, then you are more in the WS
space - I think.

If I remember my AI, it was all about dedicated hardware doing specific tasks -
very DSPish.
