Personally I would rather see online threads only... I hate digging through email archives and trees of >>> just to find a comment. It feels like I am spying on someone else's conversation. I also like being able to follow (or not follow) topics and have the ability to return and edit comments. Irregardless, is anything being done to correctly merge the mailing list replies with the online threads? I agree that it is very counter productive to have this behavior.
