I want something that is good enough to not fail yet again:

0. A flat, management free interface
1. Version control on code with comments (like svn) that track changes
so everyone can see
2. The ability for people to add comments and even vote
3. The ability to scan everything and build a knowledge base around it,
highlight syntax and link to the manuals
4. A simple easy to read interface (I found github mostly noise and
couldn't actually find the code in it!!)

There is already cfwiki, there is already a github courtesy of Alexy.
You don't need these things again from Cfengine. I don't know what
technology is used by slashdot or anything else, please tell me and make
your suggestion.

What I have been considering is something long lasting and that brings
real lasting value. I can imagine getting a student to put together a
project in the new year to solve this problem using SVN, a model and a
small amount of programming.

BTW - Mark likes chocolate and girls with bright eyes.

Mark
