Forum: Cfengine Help Subject: Re: question on bundle sequence vs. ifelapsed (1) and multiple promises on one file??? (2) Author: bglomm Link to topic: https://cfengine.com/forum/read.php?3,19154,19184#msg-19184
Thnx Seva, my if_elapsed in bundle update is meanwhile replaced by "action => immediate" (again) in the other bundles it is refering to the "body action if_elapsed(x)" from cfengine_stdlib.cf ... I will (have to ;-) investigate this issue and will come back with either a solution (meaning found my config error ;-) or your proposed reduced code to reproduce the effect... "terribly strange idea to write multiple promises about single file" ??? Why that? Anybody? We used to do that with cfengine2 some years ago on a regular base ("they" meanwhile configure a whole KDE Desktop infrastruktur with it) so I thought cfengine3 would be god for it too, and until now it works superb. And just out the cfengine files one got a readable documentation of the whole net configuration... bella lingua franka... Don't tell me I have to build me a perl-machine to do the file_editing :-( And there are obviously several values I need to take care of in most of the observed files. If I would want to just copy files than puppet might be sufficient, but just copying (better svn checkout) I was planing to use just for some configuration like bind or dhcp... ??? _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org https://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
