Trying to setup cfengnie. So far have found:

Also seems like abandoned. http://www.conshell.net/wiki/index.php/User:Fostermarkd/FreeBSD/CFengine Incomplete and little/no explanations. Good format, but just lacks details. http://www.verticalsysadmin.com/cfengine3/ This one seems somewhat promissing. Still trying to go over it and try to see how to apply it. http://www.cfengine.org/manuals/cf3-tutorial.html I guess this is the official tutorial.. Lots of concepts, but I find it it would be better as a more in-depth document once one has learnt the basics. I think it is too convoluted and too muc information as a first document. At work we took a look at puppet and it seems easier to configure than cfengine; the problem there was dealing with the installation of packages and just getting the needed dependencies to get the thing going. I found great convenience on the rpm package (CentOS) and port (FreeBSD), but finding it frustrating that I can't find better quick starter documentation.
