Forum: Cfengine Help Subject: Insert a block of text Author: pieterb Link to topic: https://cfengine.com/forum/read.php?3,17019,17019#msg-17019
Hi, I'm trying to manage the cUPS printers.conf file within Cfengine, so printers are automatically added to all computers. I'm using a insert_line bundle because I still want to allow for people to add their printers from home; I do not want to take control of the whole file. However, I cannot seem to get Cfengine to treat my printer definition (which is a long list of lines defining the printer's properties) as a block of text, instead of multiple individual lines. Once the printer definition is added, and I tamper with one of it's lines (say the second), Cfengine registers this, and then adds the second line again, but at the bottom. I want it to, in case the definition got tampered with or changed, add the complete block of text again. Is this possible? Thanks, Pieter _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org https://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
