Have you tried connecting to the loopback ::1? What getaddrinfo returns depends 
on your
DNS etc. If you can connect to the loopback then IPv6 is working. Remember to 
grant access
in the server config, e.g. see example in

tests/units/unit_server_copy_localhost.cf
