Shana Tova, Deena Schwimmer From: Anna Shparberg <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 16, 2020 1:56 PM To: [email protected]; Arija Forsyth <[email protected]> Subject: [ha-Safran] A research question -- looking for Hadassah archives Dear Colleagues, I have received the following research inquiry from a student doing research for an honors thesis on Hadassah. She is particularly interested in personal correspondence and diaries, but is unable to travel to New York because of the pandemic. Would you have any suggestions for her? If possible, please share them directly with the student, Arija Forsyth, at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>, because I will be away and unable to share them. Here is the student's request below: I'm reaching out in the hopes that you could help me locate some primary sources for my thesis, which is dedicated to the medical/nursing work of Hadassah, the American Women's Zionist Organization, in Palestine from 1913-1940. I'm especially interested in locating accounts of particular women working within/for Hadassah in Palestine. In an ideal world, I find personal correspondence/diary entries suitable for case studies.I'm still hoping to visit the American Jewish Historial Society archives in New York, but with COVID my chances of doing so are increasingly unlikely. That is one of the reasons I'm hoping you might be able to help me discover alternate avenues by which to locate some primary source documents. Thank you very much in advance for your help, -- ************************************************************************ Anna L.
