Dear Colleagues,
I have received the following research inquiry from a student doing
research for an honors thesis on Hadassah. She is particularly
interested in personal correspondence and diaries, but is unable to
travel to New York because of the pandemic. Would you have any
suggestions for her?
If possible, please share them directly with the student, Arija Forsyth,
at [email protected], because I will be away and unable to share them.
Here is the student's request below:
I'm reaching out in the hopes that you could help me locate some primary
sources for my thesis, which is dedicated to the medical/nursing work of
Hadassah, the American Women's Zionist Organization, in Palestine from
1913-1940. I'm especially interested in locating accounts of particular
women working within/for Hadassah in Palestine. In an ideal world, I
find personal correspondence/diary entries suitable for case studies.I'm
still hoping to visit the American Jewish Historial Society archives in
New York, but with COVID my chances of doing so are increasingly
unlikely. That is one of the reasons I'm hoping you might be able to
help me discover alternate avenues by which to locate some primary
source documents.
Thank you very much in advance for your help,
--
