The way for this goal are Qt Plugins.
I understand this, but there is no guarantee that
after this requirement is satisfied there won't
be another (and another) which also need to be fixed
for your preferred scenario.
BTW QT static builds are not supported for commercial
apps in a reasonable way, so our focus is on default
dynamic linking.
Anyhow I trust Pritpal's judgment on this matter,
but have some concerns that any plugin system is
not just a few lines of code, but requires quite
complicated logic to be implemented on such wrapper
level as Harbour. But maybe I'm wrong.
It's also a possibility that some solution for this
problem is developed locally with your participation
and adapted to Harbour SVN later. After all it's an
itch to scratch for you. This what drives Open Source
development forward.
