Thanks Toninho.
You could further help by sending speedtst and
memtst results for both DLALLOC and STDALLOC
builds, run on Vista and XP.
As a last resort we may want to disable DLALLOC
for BCC >= 6.0 if this seems to be best from the
results.

Could you post the details of your Harbour build

Did you do your tests in MT or ST mode?

Path is called bcc55, but I´m using bcc6.10.
To compile test\memtst.prg I set:

set HB_ARCHITECTURE=w32
set HB_COMPILER=bcc32
rem set HB_USER_LIBS=rddads.lib,ace32.li
set HB_BIN_INSTALL=e:\harbour\bin\b32
set HB_LIB_INSTALL=e:\harbour\lib\b32
set HB_INC_INSTALL=e:\harbour\include
COPY e:\bcc32.cfg e:\harbour\tests
---cut---
and call from tests dir:
..\bin\hbmk memtst
Maybe also Vista version/SP level, CPU type and
physical memory could also help.
Windows Vista Ultimate, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06 GHz, RAM 1Mb
Experience from Vista users would also be great to
hear.
With the same environment and Windows XP I see no problem with dlalloc
Best regards,
Toninho.
