IMHO with the web pages we mainly talk to non-xbase programmers ( every xbase programmer probably knows about Harbour and surely knows xbase... ) Samples and tutorials are critical part of the evaluation of a computer language and worth much more than hundreds of pages of documentation. I would suggest to start with few samples and add more only after they are carefully reviewed by the group ( we could create a new dir in the svn to hold the official samples and demos, Viktor? ). Just few specific comments: IMHO the Web section of samples uses outdated and overly complicated code. THml class use should be avoided since it tries to hide a well known and standardized HTML behind an undocumented and obscure code. Probably everyone here has his own cgi implementation :) so surely we can provide simpler samples that gives a better idea of how it's easy to use Harbour with the web. I would avoid ? for printing outstd() is more "compiler" style I would add Mac OS X screens also ( I can help here ) We say Terminal/GUI but which is the GUI we provide? The word "macro" can be misleaded we should use another term sth like "dynamic code evalutation"? best regards, Lorenzo _______________________________________________ Harbour mailing list Harbour@harbour-project.org http://lists.harbour-project.org/mailman/listinfo/harbour
