I simply accept that actually Przemyslaw and Viktor have the last word on what goes in the repository. Every successful OSS I know work in this way. So if Viktor says "revert", me you and every other developer have to revert. About your proposal of "new" RDDs I'm against it since I think that few weeks after 1.0 we need to fix the actual code ( if necessary ) and add new features instead of rebuilding what is working.
