For some contribs it may be possible
by compiling a static lib of the external
library, from source.

This won't however change anything regarding
Wine compatibility, as the exact same APIs
will be used.

As for ace32.dll, there is no way to get rid
of it, as this is the only available distribution
of the client, AFAIK.
