Well, it should be feasible; notice that with the one month waiting period, clicking on the link listing all deprecation issues once every two weeks means that a channel maintainer still has two weeks to react. On the weekend issue, since there already is the one month waiting period, we are not up to a few more days; so a simple approach would be to avoid weekends and when adding a due date make sure it is somewhere from Monday to Thursday (not all removals happen exactly on the due date, but this would already be a very simple measure).
