I couldn't get it to print anything despite showing up in CUPS and seeming okay. I don't remember the exact error. Something in a log about not understanding the weird appsocket/hpdirect address. In the end by adding it, instead of through some "hp" format address, as a "socket://<printer hostname>:9100" did it finally work. I had no luck with the various hp- tools either. Not sure if that help you or anyone else, but for posterity (for myself) at least... John
