Could you both kindly grab the latest devel branch, you need this commit bbfee04922bf2a22db397e2f429ae606df940265, and run the make/install danse on your respective distro, then check if the 'problematic' examples work fine _even when_ run against a modern libffi that was compiled without the --disable-exec-static-tramp and let me know ...
