No. I am suggesting that if you see something that you did not understand or expect then you should take the trouble to find out why it was done in that particular manner and not merely propose a solution to what may well be a misunderstood problem.

You must remember that you are proposing changes to *roff itself, and with very little idea of what you are doing.

BTW, making changes one at a time and allowing time for enlightened comment is programming 101.

Those who ignore history are condemned to repeat it.
