So, you are suggesting I should make the changes one line at a time over an extended period! :-) The top of the new file colors-html.tmac tells you exactly how to restore the idiosyncrasies (and I'm sure something similar will get into NEWS). The ps.tmac colours (now extracted to a separate file - colors-x11.tmac) has always stated it follows X11 names and colour values, this has not changed, all the 1994 colours remain "as is". What has changed is that X11 have added some new named colours since then which I have added as a block at the end. So any existing document for ps/pdf will see no change in the colours used, but new documents can use the new colour names if they wish. Cheers Deri
