No harm done.  I did recently have an experience (nothing to do with
groff) where someone really did recast my words to be more offensive
(like I need the help) and put quotation marks around them--this to make
a case for their intense perturbation with me.

I'm not impressed when someone works themselves into a snit, draws me a
map of how they did so, including factors not under my control, and then
holds me solely responsible for their state of upset.

Caution is not mandatory.  I don't have a glass jaw.  But after
absorbing a couple of punches I may start reciprocating.  :P
