According to your mailing program you are using a Mac. Please look up
this list for bad groff binaries on Macs (this has been discussed a
few times already) and try to find better ones. What you experience
is a compiler bug, AFAIK.

I searched the archives and found Robert's problems with eqn, but
nothing about
the list of bad groff binaries on Macs.
If there are more problems than eqn, could you give me a pointer re
this list?
